Here's a pattern that shows up constantly in the coaching industry:
A coach who is genuinely good ... they get results, clients rave about them, they have real skills ... and yet their content gets 12 likes. Their DMs are dry. Discovery calls are rare.
The problem isn't talent. The problem is visibility. And visibility has nothing to do with how hard someone works online.
It has everything to do with whether the right person can look at their content and immediately think: "This is for me."
Most coaches are invisible online not because they're posting too little ... but because their messaging is too broad for anyone specific to actually claim it.
When a coach says they help "anyone who wants to live their best life" ... they've just described a product no one is searching for.
Think about it from the other side. A 38-year-old woman going through a career change isn't googling "life coach for anyone." She's looking for someone who understands her specific situation, her specific fear, and her specific goal.
Broad messaging doesn't feel safe or inclusive to potential clients. It feels unfocused. And unfocused coaches don't get hired ... no matter how talented they are.
The fix isn't more content. It's sharper positioning. And you can get there with three questions.
Walk any coach through these three questions and watch their messaging transform in real time.
1. Who is the ONE person you do your best work with?
Not a demographic. A person. What's their day like? What's keeping them up at night? What have they already tried? The more specific the answer, the more magnetic the messaging.
2. What is the single outcome they want MORE than anything else?
Not "transformation" or "clarity." A real, specific result. "To leave her corporate job within 6 months without tanking her income." That sentence finds the right person and repels everyone else ... which is exactly the point.
3. Why haven't they solved it yet ... and why are they finally ready now?
This is the question most coaches skip, and it's the most powerful one. The answer reveals the emotional trigger behind the search. When you understand why they're ready NOW, you can write content that meets them exactly where they are.

Here's the same coach ... same credentials, same skills ... with two completely different positioning statements:

The first statement could apply to literally anyone. The second one will make a specific woman put her phone down and think, "She's talking about me."
That's not luck. That's positioning done right.

Most coaches never do this work because it feels like narrowing down. In reality, it's the thing that opens everything up.
The coaches building six-figure businesses aren't the ones who appeal to everyone. They're the ones who are unmistakably, undeniably for someone.
